Picture wrap that is. We’ve got all 13 episodes shot and in the can. Woo hoo! Now we just have to hit it hard in post-production. We’ve got some GREAT performances and now we just have to make them look just as good in the edit. And we need a score. And sound design. And visual effects. Okay so we’re not nearly as close to being done as you might think. It was an odd day today. Last week we wrapped on our set in Smithville. It’s the set that everyone loved and lived in for 2 solid weeks. That was a little on the odd side for everyone. Today was just the same. Wrapping all the principal photography was an odd place for the crew that really has turned into a little family. No one really wanted to leave and sure enough, after we loaded up all the gear people were still hanging out talking and not really wanting to leave. I really need to write something else for this crew to work on, because we can’t just let that great vibe and work go to waste. I think that means it’s time to start writing.

But while I’m writing we’ll definitely have a lot of post-production to do. We’ll keep you updated as we go.

  1. It was a pleasure meeting / working with each of you on “The Cell”. The cast and crew remained cordial, cooperative and professional during the entire production. In fact, I have heard nothing but positive comments from several business merchants and various members of the community. The last day shoot at Stiener Ranch was an experience I’ll remember for a lifetime. Thank you for letting me play a small role in what will be a fantastic series.

On behalf of the Mayor, City Manager, City Council, Chamber of Commerce, and the Smithville Film Commission, we hope everyone enjoyed the experience and that you will consider Smithville for future film / production projects. Best regards………
