This week has been eventful.

Our new domain went live. We’re in the steady process of creating a dynamic, interactive site for Lovable Varmint Productions. Can’t wait until we get the look and the feel the way we want it. Keep checking back. It will be slow progress for a while but we will make progress.

We found a location for our last shoot date. Only to find out it won’t work for the shots we need. Back to square one. Well, square 1.5 because I do have a lead on another location that might work.

We signed up a great Sound Mixer to work on “Cell.” After my first experience with making a short film, there’s no way I’m going to accept anything less that spectacular sound. Our new Sound Mixer will make that happen. I can’t wait to sit down and start mapping things out with her. So much fun.

Brian, our Production Coordinator, is lining up remaining crew for interviews next week after auditions are over. We should have everything pretty well covered by the end of the month.

Auditions are starting up Thursday. That’s madness. 65 actors auditioning over 4 days. I don’t see myself getting a lot of sleep soon. I could be wrong. But this is where there’s some fun. This is where the characters that I’ve written start to take on a life of their own. I can’t wait to see what all these talented actors bring to these parts. Exciting!

We also got some great news today about our event that we’re working on. I can’t really get into any specifics just yet but it just made our chances of a successful event quadruple. By the middle of next week we should be able to make some more specific announcements. For now just remember, reserve September 23rd.

A lot going on this week and the weeks not even half over.  Almost makes up for me missing Tim Gunn on the Daily Show tonight. (Good thing there’s Hulu.) I’ll make sure to keep everyone posted on auditions and the process as we keep moving along.
